how much do you guys pay for...?
ok im gonna be 17 and living on my own for the 1st time so i want to have an idea of how much stuff will cost. how much do u guys pay for this stuff.
gas (to/from work, school, around a small town)
food (just me)
cable (just basic not digital or anything)
phone (i usually use my cell but need a landlone for internet)
health insurance (im 17, occasional smoker, social drinker, history of heart attacks in the family, my paternal gparents r still alive and my maternal died in their mid 50's form heart probs)
tolietries(soap, lotion, toliet paper, detergent)
car insurance (year 2000 sedan)
i already know how much rent will cost...if youre in an apartment building you dont pay utilities or lights right?
+
gas - about 75 - 100 week
food about 50 -75 week, more if I eat out all the time - less if I buy lots of groceries and cook at home
cable - 35 month
phone - 40/m
insurance (health) - 154/m for decent coverage and low deductible 5.00 co-pays
toiletries - about 100/m
car insurance about 60/m
dont forget rent, power, water, gas, garbage and always makesure you have alittle left over for emergencies bcause no matter what you figure in your budget, something always comes up - car repairs, oil changes every 3 months, etc. I try to keep an extra 50 - 100 week aside for those things.
good luck
