Question for southern cooking brisket/pulled pork/smoker enthusiast?
They call this a charcoal smoker I just want one for wood smoke but don`t have thousands to spend and im sick of using my gas grill to smoke all of the above is this a good one and can i just make a fire in the side box and cook/smoke that way?

First off, yes, you can use this to smoke w/ wood b/c there is a seprate fire box.
Secondly, Brinkman sucks. I have a fancy stainless gas jobbie of theirs and cry every time I use it to have my old, broken-down Weber back.
But if you're only gonna use wood or charcoal, then you'd probably be just fine. Be sure to keep the airflow going thru the firebox out the chimney of the bigger part. And for goodness' sake, don't forget a pan of water in the big part, either, or you'll dry your brisket or whatever out.
