Can i take a pork shoulder roast from the oven to grill?
I am slow cooking a 9 pound pork shoulder roast in the oven. When it is ready would it be a good idea to move it to the grill to get color? like 15 more minutes of cooking over a charcoal grill? I dont have a top so it would just be cooking the outside to give more smoked flavor.
You can move from oven to Grill but I would suggest starting on the Grill for about 30 to 40 minutes with some dry Wood Chips to create lots of smoke, then move to the oven (about 225) until internal temp reaches 170.
I prefer to cook entirely on the grill but this method will work as well
