Whats wrong with my grill?
I just bought a mini grill from world market, and for some reason the grill doesnt stay lit after i put the charcoal and lighter fluid in it and light it. Whats wrong with it? what are tips on keeping it lit? I notice that the grill isnt very deep..could that be the reason im having problems? do small grills usually not work as well as big ones? any suggestions, tips..help plz!
does the depth of the grill have to do with it?? i would really like to know!!??
Not being familiar with your grill I must answer in a general way.
# things are needed for a fire-
1. fuel (the charcoal and fluid)
2. air
3. Heat (supplied from a match or spark
You have #1 and #3 so it HAS to be #2 that is giving you problems providing your charcoal is not wet.
If your grill has holes make sure they are open. If there is a lid, leave it open.
If still having problems you may want to use the "matchlight" charcoal that needs no fluid (or boy scout water as we call it) It needn't be matchlight as there are others also. These burn easier as the fluid had been soaked in for a while.
Other than that you could purchase (or make) one of those smoke pipe starters that use a newspaper and then add the burning coals to the grill.
