How long does it take potatoes to bake on a charcoal grill?
i want to make baked potatoes on a grill new to grilling.. i know to wrap them in foil where do I place them on the lower rack or upper rack of grill and how long
Take into consideration that you would cook your potato in the oven 1 hour at 350 degrees. And that works best if you use a skewer through the potato. When I grill my potatoes (I have a temperature control on my grill) I wrap them in foil and place them on top of the grill(not the top level). If I'm limited for space on the grill and using a charcoal grill, I will actually place them in the fire off to one side. This cuts the cooking time down drastically! You can use the fork test to be sure. Push the fork into the potato and if it slides right in....it's done! Careful not to burn yourself if you try this though. Hope this helps............You can also wrap an onion if foil and do the same thing. Try seasoning the onion with salt, pepper, (or you can use a seasoning salt) and butter. You can't go wrong with this one! Enjoy!!
